What’s this Obama Drama?
1/20/09
Ok, I’ve kept my mouth shut on all of this Inauguration hoopla because the current bandwagon is bursting at the seams.
I can’t figure out what the big freggin deal is. Are you celebrating the man, or the color of the mans’ skin.
As usual, before you start to judge read on a bit.![]()
Color doesn’t mean diddly doo to me.
Besides what’s the big deal, Clinton was black right?
I’ve been reading a lot about all this subject and it seems to me people are writing what they think should be written and not how they really feel about the subject matter.
Big F’n deal, we now have a black President. It could just as easily have been a female president. I’m ok with that too.
What matters to me is how he goes about beginning to fix the damage in this country. You should care too.
The whole system needs to be revamped.
People are saying and writing, “I’m just so overcome with emotion”, or “I cant explain these feelings”, I don’t buy any of it. Tell me, are you really overcome with emotion or does that sound good when you read it back to yourself?
Wanna be overcome with real emotion?
Watch “Nine Innings from Ground Zero ” on the MLB Channel, that’ll get your emotional juices flowing. If not, you’re a freggin alien.
Tell me, do you really feel safer, more secure and have a more optimistic outlook on life, or are you saying that because that’s what you think I want to hear? Or possibly, did the sensation of the moment sweep you in?
It’s ok it happens, just recognize it as being that.
It might make for some good reading fluff, but this young president is not the messiah. Get over being starstruck, I have faith that your smarter than that. Remember if you write what you think people what to hear and not how you really feel, then it’s just fiction.
Fiction posing as non-fiction has no place in the blogosphere.
I’m not here to tell you that Obama is no good or that he’ll be a bad president. In fact, I hope that’s not the case at all. I’m here to tell you to get over the immediate novelty of this and lets see what the man can do.
People didn’t immediately follow Jesus, he had to build his fellowship (that was a rare Ranter biblical quote).
Here’s some non-fiction for you, I’m scared. I didn’t vote for President this time because in good conscience I couldn’t vote for either of these dudes.
They both lacked substance. Honestly I’m scared Obama might be too inexperienced to handle this job, I’m scared some redneck might try to assassinate him, I’m scared of the Unions who will be soon working their way into my state, I’m scared because I don’t know and neither do you.
C’mon let’s be honest here, tell me exactly what are you in awe of?
OK, fast forward a year and the economy is on track, jobs are being created, unemployment is down and the general demeanor of the country is positive and bright.
From where we sit right now, doing that would be something to be in awe of. Let’s not jump the gun here folks or you might be sorry…I’m just saying.
I hate the fact that my Country is filled with so many phonies. Actions speak louder than words in my watchful eyes, and I’ll be paying close attention to his actions not his ethnicity, and so should you…nuff said on that subject.
(This is not the Mobile Blogging Unit, I’m not even sure it’s mobile)
I’d like to say thank you to some of you. every now and then I catch a little piece of someone else’s blog mentioning the Mobile Blogging Unit. I really appreciate it when I see that. Hopefully MLBlogs.com will see fit to give us some love.
Some MBU props would be cool as it would make us really visible when we’re down in Tucson. If not, I guess I’ll have to write a book about it
,…… I kid because I love.![]()
I’m going to ask this question again, will anyone who reads the Rant be in Tucson on February 25th for the opening Rockies Spring Training game against the D-backs?
I’m just curious.
Two more days until Rockies Fest. I can’t tell you how excited I am about going to this event. I can’t say for sure, but I just have a feeling I’m going to get to meet Todd Helton this time.
Let me put how much I respect Helton in perspective for you.
If someone said to me, “we’re going to let you have a beer with Todd Helton but in turn you have to give up blogging forever”…
“Bartender..two drafts over here please, make it a couple of ”Fat Tires”.
Now that will never happen so I can make a bold statement like that, but I meant what I said.
Dan and his daughter Emily will be there, Robert, Danny, Tom, all the first row regulars. I know for sure my favorite non-blogging reader and commenter R-Luv will be there. If my timing is good I might get to see Mark and Baby Paul.
Mark you ready to do some BP snaggin?
Missy, you ready for this, what level do you normally work on?
R-Luv, have you bought that 10 pack of tickets yet?
Emily, tickets go on sale soon, better snap up a few Rockpile tickets to the good games.
What are the rest of you doing to get ready? Have you been studying up on your team? Are you shopping for that special jersey? Have you mapped out the games that are “must see”.
Do you have a routine on game day? I do, but it changes depending on if I’m going alone or with just Hunter, or with both kids.
We like to bring food with us because it fits our budget a little better and I hate missing the game while waiting in line for food.
However, I have been known to do some serious damage to a Rockies dog, and every now and then a cold beer on a hot day is mandatory (gotta keep Captain Earthman green <——–right?).
(Photo props to Robert Harmon)
You think I’m wound up now, tune in during spring training. We’re going to have so much fun I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the Rockies wandered over to the MBU just to see what’s going on.
Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. I’ll make you feel like your sitting there right beside me,……because that’s what I do,……free of charge
Happy freggin Wednesday to you all. I’m still smoke free, but I’m at that point where I realize how bad the sh*t smells and I smell it everywhere. I don’t know why non-smokers put up with that crap. Oops, I said I wasn’t going to be one of those hypocrite quitters. I’ve got plenty to bitch about already.
Congrats go out to our new President…
My hopes are that in the future the color of our children’s eyes are more important to us than the color of the person sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office. Think about that.
Sometimes I feel like I’m a cigarette butt in a world full of air fresheners…Peace to you my friends…D![]()
No clue at all about the mystery ball
1/11/09
I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out with this little mystery. I got a really good deal a a few 2007 World Series baseballs that I plan on getting signed either at Rockies Fest or spring training.
One of the baseballs showed up with an autograph already on it. I’ve spent a few hours researching this already. I haven’t given up, I’m just seeing if anyone out there might have a clue. I’m using my resources…Yeah that’s it.
Here’s the ball and the mystery autograph.
![]()
Now common sense tells me the autograph is hopefully someone from the Rockies or the Red Sox because it’s a 2007 World Series ball. But you never know? I owe someone a drink if you figure this one out…D
Congrats go out to Chris Iannetta for agreeing to participate with Team USA in the World Baseball Classic. Chris was one of two catchers selected, the other being the Braves Brian McCann.
That makes two Rockies who have received invitations. Brad Hawpe also has an invite but at this point he hasn’t committed.
I can’t wait to see Todd Helton back in the Rockies lineup.
Lets hope his back will back him up.
When Todd’s out on first base, everything seems right. When he’s at bat, anything can happen.
I miss that feeling, don’t you?
Speaking of Todd Helton, my friend Dan Sauvageau came over the other day and gave me a little gift.
He must know I’m a huge Helton fan because he gave me a Todd Helton Golden Glove bobble head from 2002.
The Rockies don’t have that many bobble heads compared to other teams and this one is REALLY cool. Notice the bright gold glove. Nice detail on this piece.
Thank you Dan, that was really cool man.
(Dan and his daughter Emily, photo borrowed from Zack Hample).
Dan has agreed to be my first Rockies Fan Profile of the regular season. I think that’s appropriate because Dan was the first person to ever come up to me and ask “Are you the Rockpile Ranter?”.
Dan is a good dude and I hope during that Fan Profile to be able to tell you about some of the really cool things Dan does for other Rockies fans.
There are many readers of this blog who can testify to Dan’s kindness and generosity. I
I mentioned Dan to my to my friends Gary and David, at first Gary didn’t understand and said “What you talking about Ranter”, but after he realized who were talking about, he and David agree Dan is a stand up guy.
In Nuggets news, goodbye Chucky Atkins. I really liked Chucky but the poor dude barely got any playing hardwood time.
We traded Chucky, a draft pick and cash considerations for center Johan Petro and a future draft pick from Oklahoma City, January 7th.
The Nuggets acquired center Johan Petro and a second-round-draft pick from Oklahoma City on Jan. 7, in exchange for guard Chucky Atkins, a first-round-draft pick and cash considerations.
Petro was averaging 4.6 ppg and 4.3 rpg in 22 games for the Thunder this season.
Just curious, who of you among the Rant readers is planning on a trip to Tucson? If so, when?…D
Your sh*tting me, they sent the wrong “P”?
1/10/09
Rockies spring training tickets officially went on sale this morning at 9:00 am.
I was one of the first 10 people in line and by far the youngest one.
Andy and I got tickets for the first three home games, 25th, 26th, and 28th.
The seats we snagged are incredible, cheap too considering I could set my beer on the top of the Rockies dugout
.
I wanted to keep you updated on the ”Progress of my purple P”.
I finally received my new “P” in the mail yesterday.
I’ve discovered something just as bad as losing your “P” or being overcharged for a “P”.
Receiving the incorrect “P”.
The ”P” that was mailed to me after waiting patiently for three weeks was the wrong color. I received a black “P”. In addition, the black “P” was bigger and had a different shape than normal purple “P”.
If anyone is in need of a black “P” let me know. I’ll keep you updated on the “Progress of the purple P”. I wanted the lettering sewn on and the jersey finished for Rockies Fest on January 24th.
Right now I’m just hoping to have it ready by spring training.
This will be my third stab at trying to get my ”P” to finish off my “Rock_ile”.
Who knew trying to find the right “P” would wind up being such a pain?
(This is not the Mobile Blogging Unit —>)
So as it stands right now, you’ll be able to find the Mobile Blogging Unit parked outside of Hi Corbett Field on Feb 25th, 26, and 28th before and after the game (It will be parked there other days too, we just haven’t figured what away games we’ll be driving to see).
On the roadtrip back, March 3rd we will be parked in the Maryvale Parking lot before the Brewers/Rockies game at the Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix.
We’ve got lawn seats in the outfield for that game. The plan for the last day is just take it easy before hitting the road back to Denver after that ballgame is finished.
As I may have mentioned before This trip will be the ulitmate baseball lovers vacation. The goal is to spend ten days and not spend over $400.00. Barring any mechanic issues, it should be a piece of cake. We split all of the expenses.
We plan to grill out every day, watch an incredible amount of live baseball, snag a sheetload of baseballs, hopefully get lot of autographs, visit some other ballparks, talk lots of baseball to all the fans we meet, and best of all document as much of it as we can so you reading this can share in the spring training experience.
I wanted to give a shout out to my friends Lisa and Dick.
It’s their anniversary and Dick went out of his way to do something special for her.
Whaddya think?? :)
Robert Van Winkle almost made me tinkle
1/4/09 Nuggets vs Hornets
The whole theme for the basketball game tonight was “The 80′s”. So the first 5000 fans received what they call “80′s sunglasses”. You know, the ones you used to wear with your OP Shorts (Ocean Pacific) back in the day. If your too young google it.
Above is a shot of Hunter and I modeling them for you. Hunter is holding the T-Shirt I caught as they were tossing them out.
It’s a T-Shirt to plug Chauncey Billups for the All-Star Team.
See, I have finally found another use for my baseball snagging skills. I can adapt them for use in other sports. I love getting free crap at a game. I religiously save everything that I get from any sporting event.
There was a pretty good size line to get inside, I’m not sure if it was the 80′s sunglasses or Vanilla Ice that was bringing in lines of this size in the snow…Probably the cheap sunglasses.
Ok, to give you some reference/history.
Below is Robbie Van Winkle’s original video of “Ice, Ice, Baby”.
Don’t cheat now, you have to watch this one first. Come on,…just play along.
It’s a blast from the past
Now that you’ve seen the real one, you’ve got to see Jim Carey’s rendition of Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby”. Be careful you might need a diaper for this one.
Finally, here’s a much older and mature Vanilla Ice rockin the halftime show at the Nuggets/Hornets game last night.
He started out with his version of “Play that funky music white boy” which was a flop for him back in the day, then he somewhat smoothly transitioned into his claim to fame “Ice, Ice, Baby.
I could tear this guy apart. So many things about him are just wrong. But, it’s a new year and I going to look at it like the dude is just trying to support his wife and two kids.
I’m sure to hear him tell it he’s just touring now as some sort of “healing process” that wanna be famous rappers go through,..whatever. I understand, everybody gotta make a living.
Here’s some video I shot of the Nuggets practicing before the game.
This game had a few ups and downs. The Nuggets led by as much as 26 points but they got lazy and let the Hornets make up all of that distance by the 4th period.
At one point in the 4th, the Hornets surpassed the Nuggets and were ahead by 3 points.
Had the Nuggets lost this game, they would have set a record for being the most points up on a team and then losing the game. Not a record I wanted to witness.
The previous record was 23 points. Thankfully that didnt happen.
Below is my picture show from the basketball game,…Enjoy
First is Hunter’s autographed picture of the Denver Nuggets Cheerleaders. I do believe he enjoyed meeting all of them.
A shot of FSN Analyst and play-by-play guy Scott Hastings (aka Sup), and Chris Marlowe.
Hastings is an 11 year NBA veteran and was a member of the 1989 League Champion Detroit Pistons. Hastings finished his career as a Denver Nugget (1991-93). This guy is great, he signed an old skool picture that I found of him for me backstage last season after a game.
I printed two of the pictures just in case he wanted one. When I offered, he said ”sure, thanks”. Here’s the picture he autographed for me last year.
Here’s a shot of Sup nailing a three-pointer. The dude still got some game.
I’m going to email him this picture and see if he remembers me from last season. I’ll enclose a link to this entry and maybe he and Big Alfred Williams (former Denver Bronco, Superbowl years and his co-host on their talk radio program “Scott and Al, its off the hook”) would be willing to check out the Rockpile Rant.
Even better, it would be cool if they could possibly give us some radio love as we head out in the Mobile Blogging Unit for Rockies spring training?
I’ll let you know if they respond back to me.
Cool Note: Scott Hastings is believed to be the only person in existance to possess two Super Bowl rings and an NBA Championship ring.
Thanks Mr. Hastings..Hope you liked the picture. Tell Al I said hey.
Here is Chauncey Billups. He has my vote for the All-Star team.
Renaldo Balkman
K-Mart, Melo and Chucky Atkins
Nene and Melo
Kleiza holding his balls
Some dunking skills
more
and more
Kleiza and Chauncey with Miss America in the Background..No really it is.
She sang our National Anthem. She did pretty good, she only F’ed up in one spot.
Here she is with her own Police Officer and George Karl
A shot of coach Karl as she’s walking away.
The game was about to start so we headed back to our “real seats” and this was our view.
The score at the beginning of the 4th.
![]()
As I mentioned earlier the Nuggets had a huge lead for most of the night, but Hornet’s Chris Paul scored 30 points and had 11 assist. David West also helped out with his 21 points. Both these dudes came up huge for the Hornets and by the last few minutes of the 4th things were getting way too interesting for a game we had in the bag.
In the end Carmello Anthony nailed the deciding shot. He did the same thing on Friday night with a three-pointer against Oklahoma City. The Nuggets zap the Hornets and win this one 105-100 bringing an end to the Hornets four-game winning streak.
Thanks for all of your input in the comments section of this blog.
I’m glad that you guys/gals feel comfortable enough with me to share your thoughts and feelings here at the Rant. I reall dig being able to discuss with people what I’ve written.
To quote the late great Mitch Hedberg,
“Alcoholism is a disease but it’s the only the disease you can get yelled at for having. Damnit Otto you’re an alcoholic. Damnit Otto you have lupus. One of these doesn’t sound right”.
Here’s a video clip of the late Mitch Hedberg’s stand up Comedy. He reminds me of my late High School friend Brian (RIP buddy) ….D
Happiness is: Knowing your Growing
12/17/08
Good day today, not a whole lot to Rant about. Eight days till X-mas and I’m feeling the spirit.
Tomorrow night is the 2nd Annual, X-mas get together dinner of the Pavilion season ticket holders at Coors Field. I was working on coming up with a name for this event…I’ll admit, what I have is weak. For a rhyming Ranter, I don’t have much.
Here’s what I’ve got:
1. Rockies Regulars X-mas Bash
2. Pavilion Posse Party or Pavilion Party
3. Pavilion Seat Meet and Eat..My fav.
If they don’t choose any of those, I won’t be offended.
(<—-This is not me or the Mobile Blogging Unit, nice hat though).
I’ve changed the dates for the Mobile Blogging Units departure for Rockies Spring Training.
Instead of arriving in Tucson at the end of February, we’re going to make it there in time for opening day (Feb, 25th), and catch a bunch of home (Hi-Corbett Field), games during the first week.
That gives me a day and a half road time to make it from Colorado to Tucson.
That should be plenty of time. It’s no fun being in a hurry. I’ve been carrying this Rockies spring training schedule around in my pocket now for over a week. I’m ready to go yesterday.
The MBU will be returning on March 3rd or 4th.
I’ve been playing around with this blog talk radio thing. I think it would be cool/fun if I could do a small internet radio thing at the end of each day in Tucson. Possibly do a few interviews with some folk down in Tucson, or possibly a Minor or Major league star?
Ok, I might be dreaming there, but you never know?
I’m going to try a test show on December 30.
Here’s why I want to do this radio thing. For a good part of my life I was one of those guys who kept stuff bottled up inside.
Nobody knew how I felt or what I was thinking unless I wanted them to.
I can tell you from experience, that’s not a good way to live. See, I Rant to help keep from getting mad.
Here is what I have managed to accomplish this last year:
![]()
1. I finished the year with a Top 50 Blog on MLBlogs.com. I started the Rant so I could document the batting practices that Hunter and attended.
I wanted to have a permanant record of our baseball collection for reference someday.
Secondly, I needed a place to vent the things that annoy me in my daily life. MLBlogs.com was a perfect match and the Rockpile Rant was born.
2. I got on an airplane, and stayed on. Say what you want to, this was by far my biggest accomplishment of the year.
3. I’ve expanded my circle of friends. It’s not easy to be my friend. I’ve had the same buddies for 20+ years. I don’t trust many, and you only get a couple of chances with me. I guess that explained my small circle of friends.
I trust them, every one of them and they trust me. It’s cool when you have that.
I have spent the last year trying/learning how to be more social. I’ve done this by blogging and interacting with more people.
Now I find meeting new people not to be scary or uncomfortable (there are exceptions), I find it to be interesting and rewarding.
Thanks to all of you who comment on the Rant. I plan to spend the next year being a better commenter backer.
I’m not sure exactly at what point this year the change happened, but it happened, and is still happening. I’m not all the way there yet, but I can tell you it’s hard to be shy at a baseball game when your the Rockpile Ranter…This leads me to # 4.
4. I plan to dabble in the Blog Internet talk radio as a way of overcoming a fear of public speaking. I will be doing a 15 minute call-in segment on December 30th at 9 pm Colorado time. Just in time to say I did it before the end of the year. I’ll post all the links and stuff soon. Do me favor, if you listen, don’t expect much. As with blogging, the more you do it, the better you get…and the first one’s going to suck I’m sure. I just need to do it. I’ll have cool music, and maybe snacks.
5. I got to pretend I worked for the Nuggets. That was something I will always remember. Thank you B.
6. I made it through another year of being a husband and a father and a (young) grandfather.(I miss you Mason). It can be hard work, but it’s a labor of love
I’m using you MLBLogs.com. I’m using you to become a better person…D
You can’t go wrong with Cheech and Chong
12/11/08
I was tempted to us the word bong in my rhyming title, but decided against it.
Damn head cold, I could feel it coming. It’s like having your head in a vice.
I don’t get sick very often, I probably got this crap on my trip to Chicago.
Strange new germs out there (and I drank the water).
My wife and I usually do something cool together for our X-mas presents to each other.![]()
This years present is so cool, I’m afraid with my head cold and the news of this, I could spontaneously combust. It’s just too much.
C’mon you know you do.
Before they did all of those funny movies, they were a stand-up comedy team touring the US and Canada.
These two dudes pumped out a bunch of comedy records. Back in the day, everybody who was anybody had at least one.
Below is my personal Cheech and Chong collection. There may be a few more records out there, but not many.
The Cheech and Chong heads have removable skulls. For storage I guess?
Notice the Big Bambu still has the original rolling paper.
Hey we all age, so now they look like this, and have been touring the country with their stand-up comedy act. Tommy Chong’s wife Shelby is the opening act.
![]()
![]()
I was hoping that they would make a “Hitstop”
in Denver.
No special tickets or anything, I was just happy they added the third show.
It’s Sunday night Dec 21..An early X-mas present.
Their records are imbedded in my brain, as they were extremely popular when I was a teen in Canada.
There you have it, another thing knocked off of my ”List of things to do before I croak”.
![]()
Led Zepplin, what’s up fellas? Not a “Whole lotta love”.
If The Who can do it, so can you.
I’ll probably do a special blog after the Cheech and Chong show dedicated to them.
Seeing this show is all I want for X-mas.
I don’t want to outright spoil what I got for my kids (they don’t read this blog in the offseason), but just in case, it rhymes with sockhand.
I think it will be a cool gift to play with the whole family. I’m already a Rockstar, have you seen my music video?? Check it out.
Please don’t slam us. There’s a reason why this short little video clip is the only one us in existance. But hey, I’ve got a music video…Do you?
I’m starting to feel the spirit. Just need to kick this head cold. I cant see Cheech and Chong with a foggy head now can I?…
Oh yea, my special announcement. Robert Harmon, If you read this or Zack’s Hamples blog (listed on my side bar), you know of him.
(This Picture is from Zack Hamples blog).
Long time Coors field snagger, Barry Bonds fake ball, good dude.
Well Robert has decided to join forces with the Ranter, and he along with my buddies Jack (cheeser), and Andy (snagged two balls at a Rockies BP earlier this season) will be the crew for the Mobile Blogging Unit.
What a freggin visual. It’s all about baseball baby.
Robert knows his way around the Tucson area well, it will be fun and an asset “?”
, to have him along. Thanks brotha.
Robert normally heads down to Tucson in his VW bus. But the bus is presently out of commission.
She’s having some transaxle issues. If anyone knows where he can get an early 70′s transaxle at a good price. Send me a note.
Robert sure would appreciate it.
A few blog entries back I had put the question out there, “What makes you happy”.
Kylie of Out of the “Field” Box fame, (located on my sidebar), sent in a few words and a picture of what makes her happy.
Here’s what she wrote:
Hey, man! It’s Kylie. Here’s what makes me happy.
My first snow since 2004. It has been snowing for about two hours now and it’s dying down, but I snagged a picture of it on my shirt to remember it. Plus there’s a real live snowball in my freezer made from snow collecting on our table. It all melted when it hit the ground but it was still supercool…Kylie
Thanks for sharing, the best part of what makes her happy is, snow is free. You can see the tiny little flakes on her red shirt, very cool. Enjoy your winter wonderland
just kidding. Thanks for the picture Kylie.
Everyone, thanks for your click, you made a choice and I’m glad you ended up here…D
Rock steady, the booze is ready
10/27/08
Joe Blanton, the dude is amazing and so is his timing.
He said he closed his eyes and just swung.
Funny, all that ever did for me was give me a nasty bruise.
Then I’d get to listen to an impatient umpire bark at me to ”take my base”.
Joe hits his first career homer, doing what no other pitcher has done in the World Series since 1974.
Out freggin standing Joe !
Never say never. Rockies fans grasp this concept.
Rays fans want to believe. I’ve been supporting the Phillies since the postseason and even I think the Rays coming back and winning the World Series would be a hell of a story. Last to first, down 3-1, etc. Let me just say:
It’s probably not going to happen (there’s a safe statement). Lets look at some quick history:
Rays come in as the 43rd team to be down 3-1 in the World Series. Of those forty three, only five have come back to win it since 1925. Thats like twelve percent. The last team to come back from the two game deficit and win the World Series was the Kansas City Royals in 1985. So it’s safe to say it doesn’t happen a lot.
The Rays have that whole statistical history thing against them. But, so did the Phillies with their long break before the World Series and they proved history wrong.
Here’s the Rays immediate problem. Cole Hamels.
For some reason the dude reminds me of Tom Brady.
This hippy is undefeated in the postseason and if he gets his fifth win tonight, he breaks the record for most postseason wins and helps his team to a World Series ring.
That my friends(McCain moment), is a lot of pressure for a young dude.
He is a rock, lets see if he cracks under pressure….not likely.
Reality check. Tonight could be it for baseball this year. Truth be told, it’s been over for me since the end of September.
Admit it, we all act interested, but if your teams not it in it, your hearts not truly in it.
That is one of the things I like about Zack Hample. He is a fan of the sport.
I too am a fan of the sport, but I
support my team. It’s not really the same thing. My fanship is directed to my team as his is directed to all teams and players.
He can enjoy the Phillies World Series win all year. But for me, when the sun rises tomorrow the Phillies are the enemy again(if they win tonight).
I believe I can only TRULY enjoy a World Series Championship if the Rockies are the last ones left standing. No worries, I can wait.
I dont know if what I just wrote makes sense, but I’m not going any deeper than that or I’ll lose myself.
What are your plans?? Any readers out there going to be in Tucson the first week of March?
Stop by the Mobile Blog Unit RV and say hello. You’ll have no trouble spotting the RV.
We’ll be parked at the Hi Corbett field parking lot during the days for about a week doing some live(as possible) blogging and testing out some new ideas. Should be a good learning experience.
ROCKIES 2009
Speculation begins now, What about Holliday, Fuentes, Atkins, Taveras??? Who should stay, who should go? I have my own opinions about each of them, but I would love to hear what others think.
When the series is over I will writing some entries called ironically “Should they stay or should they go” it should be a fun topic with some reader participation by way of commenting.
Feel free to comment. It lets me know that you actually get me, or don’t. It also lets me know if your read the whole entry or just look at the pictures.
By the way, thanks for looking at the pictures and for checking out the Rant..
I slipped off the smoking wagon on Sunday..Back on the wagon tomorrow…D
