”Why Baseball is Still the Greatest Sport of all Time”

Hey D.
 This photo was taken August 1, 2011 vs the Phillies featuring, you guessed it, a loss.
I’ve titled it “The Promise of Next Spring”.

This is just one of the reasons I think baseball is the greatest sport of all time. No matter how awful and disappointing today is, there’s always tomorrow, or next Spring. It is a game that makes us optimists and dreamers with each new scoreboard or calendar change.
I snapped this pic walking up to the park. It reminded me of that promise. Then after watching the game, I realized I would indeed have to wait for the promise of Spring.

I’ve attached my photo for the contest. Being a die-hard Rockies fan, I believe there is no better picture that says that baseball is the greatest sport in the world than a Todd Helton home run (which is what my picture is of). Also, I have attached a short video from the pregame before the Fireworks game last Friday. It makes me proud to be a Rockies fan. It’s Kevin Kouzmanoff playing catch with a young fan. I think everyone would enjoy seeing it if you want to put it on the blog. Also, I just wanted to thank you for being so generous with your contests with Rockies fans. I was one of the people that submitted an essay for the Fan Fest tickets and plan on doing so again this winter if you do that contest again. I’m a regular reader of your blog and will continue to read. Thanks for the shot….Dominic
