Rockies are hot and Baker earns a spot

Congrats to Jeff Baker.
Jeff has hit .333 this month and has earned himself a permanant spot at second base. Heres a recent quote from Jeff:
”It’s just fun playing, it’s fun coming in and seeing your name on the lineup and knowing you’re going to go out there and get more (at-bats) to help your team win that day.”
So this opens up the question.
What to do with Clint Barmes? Clint has been great this year.
Hurdle is considering possibly using him in an outfield position.
Do it Barmes.
Take whatvever job they offer you.
Shoot, tell them you’ll be the flippin batboy as long as you can stay part of this team. A job is a job, catching a ball is catching a ball. At the end of the month the morgage is due brotha..Good Job, you at least deserve a spot in this lineup.
Coors Field was the place today for the Rockies vs Dodgers. This was game three of a split set.
Rockies won today 5-3.
We nailed this series.
I love beating the Dodgers. Mostly because I hate losing to them. Dam, that sounds like something Yogi would say.
Glendon Rusch gets the win today allowing three runs on seven hits in a respectable five inning outing.
Ian Stewart has continued his hitting streak and now has hits in five games. He went two for three today.
Brian Fuentes now holds the record for consecutive batters retired at twenty three. The old record was held by Tim Harikkala. Congrats Tito..you sneaky southpaw
The Rockies went six and one in this last homestand and are now 6.5 games behind the D-Backs for first in the Divison.
Lets carry this momentum into the upcoming Road Trip.
We still have plenty of time and were gaining ground quick in this Division.
I’m sure our best baseball is yet to come…D

I really enjoy putting this blog together, but writing about losses takes a little more time and thought.
I have to be careful how I world things. I don’t want to seem negative…I want to tell the story, with feeling not agression. With that said…..
Everyone knows that Jeff has a stellar year last year.
He is also an all around great guy, but is really struggling this year.
If he were any pitcher other than himself, with what his ERA this season..he probably would be in Colorado Springs doing time with the Sky Sox. Get it together now Jeff, we believe in you…
Nuff said on that.
Matt Holiday is continuing show fans why he is All Star material. His two run homer in the fifth driving in Baker gave Colorado fans a little hope, but that would be all for the Rockies as they lose this one to the Royals 8-4.
Congratulations to Jeff Baker for being chosen NL Player of the week.
This guy is really hitting right now and is really trying hard to find a spot for himself on this ever changing Rockies lineup.
Welcome back Clint Barmes from AAA Colorado Springs…expect big things from Clint. This guy is a future All Star…Go Rockies…D
A win without a fight , C’mon Friday night

Yep, on the bottom looking up. I can’t say it’s unfamiliar territory, in fact you might even call it comfortable.
Naa, screw that it’s not comfortable, I’m not sure what to call it. But what ever “It” is, “It” sucks.
I hate losing. I bet you didn’t know that about me. I thought it strange all this World Series hoopla last year.
Fun at the time, but now as I look back it seemed premature and out of place.
I’m not saying we didn’t earn the right to be in the World Series because we damn sure did. The problem was it all happened too fast.
You’d have to be Stevie Wonder not to have seen it during the World Series and you can most certainly see it now.
We’re not the same team this season. I know, it sucks.
The only semi-bright light is that when your in last place, peoples expectations seem to drop.
The catch being, the Rockies made it to the World Series last season and the fans expectations of this team this season are extremely high.
It takes a lot less effort to critique than to support. Now is when you find out who the true fans are.
I’ll be there, cheering on my team, taking pictures, snagging balls and having fun.
I know a few other people who will be there regardless.
The Rockies took the series against the Dodgers today with a final score of 2-1.
Jeff Baker hit the homer that scored the Rockies two runs.
Aaron Cooks pitching looked consistant, thats good. We needed to see that after his Mets loss last series. Looks like Ubaldo Jimenez will be pitching on Friday.
Lets make it three wins in a row .
