Philler aka "crap" to tide you over till Game 3
10/24/08
I was having a discussion with someone today who ended up telling me that I should act more my age...huh?
I asked them to explain, they went on about how I don't dress like a forty year old and questioned why I spend my summers chasing baseballs. There was more...
This person is still getting to know me and just doesn't get me...yet
I don't think they were trying to be mean, they just happened to be a couple of years older than me, and we had nothing really in common.
I happen to be very cool. My mom told me so. For the record, I prefer to use the word snag. I like to snag baseballs, I don't really chase them.
Here's a few things you didn't know about me
Some may say different, but I was born the first year of Generation
X baby 1966.
Typically that means I like Nirvana, Guns and Roses, skateboarding and/or snowboarding, downloading music, baggy pants, untucked shirts, at some point had a mullet, don't vote, and should be a whiz with computers.
Not exactly, I don't download music, I hate that saggy pants feeling, and I'm still undecided.
Being first year Gen X, I dance on the border of generations. I'm too young to feel obligated to tuck my shirt in, but I feel like I'm too old to wear my hat cocked to the side or backwards.
Yes I've sported a mullet (back in the day), no I will not post a picture.
Remember the first couple years of MTV? First year of the Simpsons? Starskey and Hutch? Pong? AC/DC Back in Black...
The one thing I regret not getting to do this baseball season was meet Todd Helton, shake his hand and get his autograph.
By the time I managed to figure out the pre-game autograph proceedure, Todd injured his back and missed a good part of the summer.
I just hope I can meet him before he retires. I figure my best chance will be spring training. I'll let you know.
I am also still trying to snag the elusive home run ball. Next season I will catch a live home run ball even if I have to stand behind Dan..just kidding Dan.
It's my time, Zack Hample can't possibly catch them all.

I'm a Baker by trade, thanks to the US Army.
I don't bake anymore, but I did for twenty years. My last couple years baking I was employed at the Air Force Academy. I baked for the Prep Students and I was a Catering Chef at the Milazzo Enlisted Club.

My wife Krista is my world.
We'd be happy together if we were picking up dog turds for nickels on cat island.
She is exactly everything I am not. If it wasn't for her yinging I'd never be yanging. I'm a lucky guy.
We go together like two peas in a pod...And that's all I got to say about that...Forrest Gump.
I don't buy them any more, but I am a huge Hot Wheels geek.
I'm fond of the first few years they were released.
1967-1973.
I can restore the damaged ones and customize any diecast vehicle.
I could do several entries about Hot Wheels. Got a question?
I might know the answer.
Ok, thats enough "philler" for now thanks for stopping by the Rant...D
P.S I didn't talk about the game because I didn't want to jinx anything...Go Phillies in Philly !

Standing behind me is a sure way to never catch a home run, unless you are relying on me to miss it:)
